FLASHBACK 2007 | Hijacking Human Rights | Human Rights Watch

"Indeed, HRW was created in 1978 as the Helsinki Watch (which later became HRW's Europe and Central Asia Advisory Committee) "at the instigation of Arthur Goldberg" with the start-up costs covered by a $400,000 from the Ford Foundation. Furthermore, as Bruce Montgomery (2002) observes their establishment credentials were fortified by Robert L. Bernstein (the founder of HRW) who "began by recruiting the establishment elite to give the cause clout and visibility."

FLASHBACK | The Velvet Slipper And The Military-Peace Nonprofit Complex

"Indeed, in his fictitious autobiographical account of a revolutionary, London described how when his revolutionary movement was on the brink of launching "a sudden colossal, stunning blow" to the entire North American oligarchy, their forthcoming revolution was postponed when the oligarchy caught wind of what they planned and pre-empted them. The oligarchy did this by "deliberately manufactur" the social conditions that would precipitate an isolated and containable revolutionary uprising that could be destroyed. Back in the real world it is perfectly understandable why elites should seek to manipulate progressive social movements, now we just need to decide what actions we can take to protect our movements from such unwanted interventions."

Editorial: Partners in Crime

As the revolving door between the U.S. State Department, the UN and NGOs churns out perpetrators like Suzanne Nossel, the credibility of the human rights industry not only loses legitimacy, but creates the conditions for all NGOs to be treated abroad with the same suspicions as U.S. embassy personnel who've engaged in destabilization campaigns alongside NED, USAID and CIA agent provocateurs.

Human Rights, Geopolitics and the Union for the Mediterranean

The National Endowment for Democracy (NED) which is a governmental agency in the USA notorious for its role in promoting regime change by means of intervention in sovereign electoral processes, can also sow division in the civil society of numerous countries. The NED does not finance the Euro-Mediterreanean Human Rights Network directly but it has managed, since at least the wars in Central Africa, to build partnerships with European NGOs.

Human Rights Watch on a Dogged Mission of Defamation Against Eritrea

"Eritrea is no one's puppet. In the January 21, 2013 press release titled 'Human Rights Watch on a Dogged Mission of Defamation Against Eritrea' from the state of Eritrea, Ministry of Foreign Affair, Eritrea defends itself against human rights violations put forward by an agency which serves to advance foreign policy for the greatest human rights violator in the world - that of the US."

Desperate for Destabilization in Venezuela, US Funded OTPOR Rears It’s Ugly Head

""The tranquility prevailing in Tachira, Venezuela, was interrupted a few days ago by violent right wing youth groups that are sponsored by foreign NGOs. The so-called "white hands" that do not recognize the government and the vice president, Nicolas Maduro, as well as the decision by the Supreme Court of Justice allowing President Chavez to take oath before this judicial institution. COPEI Party, the Popular Will Party and the first justice party are encouraging sabotage and terrorism in the state of Tachira. They are wishing for a person to die or be injured, but we will not allow it."

US Attempting Regime Change in Malaysia: Fact or fiction?

"Mahathir has been an ardent critic of Israel and organizations such as AIPAC, and has recently accused US-based organizations the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) and the Open Society Institute (OSI) of holding a concealed intention to influence Malaysia’s domestic politics through the funding of local NGOs and groups directly linked to Anwar Ibrahim’s Pakatan Rakyat opposition coalition."

BOLIVIA | The United States Uses Diplomacy to Destroy Nations

"At this moment, Bolivia has already broken free from that dependency, it controls its hydrocarbons, its economy is stable, and there is no justification for the government, when it intends to expel USAID, to allow itself to be tied up with the astute answer that all of the aid was requested by Bolivia in strict accordance with the agreement of 1951, that unilateral suspensions are not convenient, and that the programs could be analyzed individually in the context of the framework agreement. There is no reason for Bolivia, in its attempt to free itself from the United States, to end up ratifying its chains and becoming even more bound in dependency."

FLASHBACK: DEEPER DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE OF U.S. BACKED COLOR REVOLUTIONS

"As with the army and CIA that fulfilled this role before, the US State Department’s “fifth-branch” runs a recruiting and coordinating center known as the Alliance of Youth Movements (AYM)."

Freedom House: The Language of Hubris [Freedom House in Venezuela]

"Freedom House is the oldest Washington-based NGO working in the international arena. It was founded just before the beginning of the U.S. entry into World War II and blossomed during the Cold War. Freedom House today positions itself as a nuanced, liberal, or even left-of-center organization, obscuring its real agenda: to destabilize foreign governments whose policies challenge U.S. global hegemony.
